What are order value limits?

With order value limits, such as a maximum cart value or a minimum order value, you can regulate orders and ensure cost control.

There are two types of limit:

  • Maximum cart value
  • Minimum order value

This function helps to regulate orders efficiently and to ensure cost control.

Maximum cart value

Define a maximum amount that a shopping cart must not exceed.

  • If this value is exceeded, check-out is not possible.
  • Assignment of the limits:
    - Individual users
    - Groups
    - All users

A mix of these options is not possible.

Minimum order value

  • Define a minimum amount that an order must reach.
  • If the value is not reached, check-out is blocked.
  • Choose between two order value limit types:

Note: If you remove a vendor from an individual order value limit, the default order value limit is assigned to it automatically.

Special features of the shopping cart

  • A shopping cart can contain articles from several vendors.
  • At checkout, a separate order is created automatically for each vendor.

Exception: OCI-Punchout users

  • The order value limits do not apply to OCI-Punchout users.
  • Reason: Changes can be made directly in the ERP system.
